Job Summary
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Gain understanding and participate in the daily, monthly and quarterly functionality of the Tax Department under the supervision of professional staff
- Prepare the tax filings for the following tax types: corporate and insurance federal, state, and local; sales and use; personal property tax filing
- Perform tax research and analyze tax updates
- Assist in the preparation of Form 1099 MISC
- Contribute to special projects as needed
Qualifications
Recommended Qualifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and organization skills
- Familiarity with MS applications
- Minimum of 25 hours a week
- At least 1 day in the office
